Ok lunges have to go...they are just too hard on my knees. I am going to replace those with Box Squats. What do you guys think of that? Not sure what I'll replace the back lunge with just yet.
Thats it...not much but hopefully this will be the beginning of me finally sticking to this again. I really want to ask you guys to get on me if you dont see me posting. I've been working though some personal stuff and have decided not to let "it" get to me anymore.

Pam, Are you using weight on the lunges ? How much ? Can you cut back until your knees are conditioned to the movement ? I don't understand why you can run without knee problem, but have trouble with the lunge. How long is the stride ? I understand that it need not be long to be effective, especially for the quads. Did you try static lunges ? As for alternatives, first question for me is which muscles are targeted. Go to www.exrx.net/Lists/Directory.htmlClick on the target muscles, and find suggestions. 30 mins treadmill at what PE or HR ?

I know this is a late response but I used 8 lbs on the lunges. Dont have a clue why I cant do it without pain but I can. With or without weight. I've tried them before with the same problem. Box lunges are better but they still bother it. I'm just tossing this one out for good. There are too many other things for me to choose from to have to worry about including them. Oh, and I did take your advice do static lunges with this workout and it didnt seem to help.
As for my heartrate on the treadmill, now that I have my watch back I can track that. Not sure what my AHR was on this workout but todays it was 152. I'm actually trying to lower that just a bit.
