Ah, so here we are again....another year. No resolutions for me. Just going to try. Got my green smoothie so off I go.

Not really a workout but spent most of the day cleaning the house. Lots of up and down. I bought a new washer and dryer so I need to clean out crap to get the new ones in.

Lots of running but not in a good way. My dad had a stroke so back & forth to hospital. Trying to fit in work that is in the opposite direction.
Finally found out they are going to keep him for 2 weeks in intensive physical therapy.... hope it works.
He has no movement in right arm or leg.
But I’m hopeful at this pointy.

Dads in rehab at least till the 24th. He has a tiny bit of movement . Hoping for the best.

Snow coming here as well, downgrading it some but still calling for sleet and ice.... yuk
Managed to get a day to catch up on some sleep, I probably should have gone to work but didn’t. Going to go see Dad today before the storm.
He can make a fist but can’t raise it up. Hoping he surprises us one of these days. He also has some blood in his urine, they did a cat scan and there isn’t any cancer or growths. So that’s good.
He’s there till the 30th now, the gave him another week.
So it’s wait and see, hope for the best. In the mean time no real Workouts for me other than burning the candle at both ends.

so tell us, if they give you a minute to yourself, what you are doing to take care of yourself. should be somethings you schedule in and do. relaxation - meditation - prayer ?
maybe a walk to get some exercise with relaxation ?
mind clearing stuff.

Guy from my Alzheimers Group is starting a meditation group... going to try to go to that.
Busy with work so I’m getting some exercise there at leaststeps.
Dads coming along but really slow...still not getting much info from anyone.

Up at 1:30, worked till 10:00 then to see dad. He’s doing good, they extended his stay till Feb 6th. He’s able to lift his leg. So there is progress.
Got in 12,000+ steps

we are pleased to hear your Dad is doing better. hope he gets very well very soon.
in the meantime you are allowed to eat cookies if they make you smile.
NCs brother is quite involved in support groups for those whose loved ones have been lost to dementia.

I didn’t go to see him today but my brother said he was really tired.
I had to try and catch up at work... at least I can get to bed early.
