what a difference between reaction to shot in left vs right.

right still somewhat sore.

not expecting miracles, but hopeful that at least i regain stability.

the lake seems different this year.

less fauna.

although did see a small bird harassing what i am pretty sure was a sharp shinned hawk.

interesting in that SSHs eat small birds.

went to spend some time with one of my many step sons and his family at a camp on a lake.

no internet

did not take either boat.

did some kayaking

and then they have the paddleboards.

don't understand the attraction at all.

i can do it, but why, when there are sailboards and kayaks and shells.

have rowed three times since last post.

two eagles same tree, same branch.

got close, adult flys off.

got closer, juvenile drops with wings spread, catching air and comes up while tiny bird harasses and the eagle does an instant barrel roll.

wicked cool.

then as coming in to the shore, duck skim lands. as i get close calls and out come 5 ducklings

eagle on rocks at water surface level.

sharp shinned hawk being mobbed - if one can call it that if it is a mob of one.

boomers half filled the barrels under the eaves.

the garden is secure for a week.

usual rain dance postponed.

5 seconds between flash and bang is one mile.

less than 5 seconds too close for dancing comfort.
