it's tempting to go out on the water, but it's cold and breezy.

working pretty much the same muscles - rowing, they say, involves 86% of total musclature - but with different intensity and at different angles.

wood - first move from the back-stack where it seasons to the porch where is convenient to the stove.

we have some heavy cut down to two board pallets we use to stack on.

because first move, more than ten wheel barrow loads.

I'll be moving wood till next April / May.

It's daily exercise.

My neighbor is 80 and still gets logs…. Wish I had half of his energy.

yup, i get the wood cut and split.

i processed tree length a number of years ago and quite enjoyed the work.

cutting the wood into lengths was/is fun. i got to do it for the bro-in-law last fall.

splitting it was ok too, if one has help.

better with 3,  1 to move and mount, one to clear.

best with more.

i had help then.

i don't have help any more.

i only wish i had friends and family nearby who heated with wood.

i have heard about the good days they spend at each other's place processing each other's wood.

kinda like a barn raising.

i'll bet your neighbor is blessed with a good back, too.

I did as a kid, a lot of fun. I got to know this older guy that would run on our lake.
