Many years ago, maybe 1971, I came across "yoga self taught" by Andre Van Lysebeth. Google it, it's available free pdf on many sites.
Anyway he explained that he designed a series of complementary postures, eg. bend forward posture, then bend backward posture. His theory is that complementary is close to complete.
I found a youtube of the sequence of postures.
The dynamic sun salutation is at the start.
There are many other dynamic sun salutations on the web.
eg
watch the second to see how she leaps back and forth instead of bending her legs one after (i prefer the extension of the legs) and how she drops down into the plank and swoops through and up into the cobra.
i can't wait until i can do it again.
do this 10 times or so in continuing sequence, and you will appreciate what a workout is provides.

every one of the movements and postures can be modified to match your current range of motion.
i never could touch my forehead to my locked knees, and if i had to bend my knees to get my hands down in front of me to make the next move, well, it worked. over time the rom improves throughout.
i suggest you just give it a try, using the movements that let you approximate what that pro yogi on the video is doing.
how do you make your black beans ? cuban ?

I will give it a try.
I made these more like baked beans. Soaked beans overnight Fried some bacon and a couple onions, added a can of tomato paste, garlic powder, smoked chili powder, some thai pepper powder, little brown sugar. Cook all of that a little bit. Add in beans and about 3 cups of water bring to a boil then cover and bake in a 300 degree oven for 3-4 hours. Ya might need to add in some extra water part way through.
I kept these kind of loose because I was adding rice to it but you can always uncover at the end to make them thicker.

Thanksgiving is my/our favorite feast.
so much to be thankful for, even in these confused times.
hopefully i will be able to resume my usual routine soon.
baked up a really good "pain herbes de provence' for today.
i'm "baking and making" our breads.
on a day when i bake, i mix the next dough (4 cup flour, 1+3/4 cup water, 1/4 tsp yeast, 1 tsp salt) let it sit covered on the counter for a day or so, then chuck it into the fridge until the next bake day. 3 or 4 days, but sometimes longer.
every loaf is slightly sourdough.
this works with every mix i've tried including:
white
whole wheat herbes de provence rye pumpernickel
etc.
cinnamon raisin i bake sooner.
baguettes boules batards
very, very easy to do, and just about foolproof.
