lots of other stuff got in the way today, but i did clubs and wood.
we are not hobnailed birkenstock people, but we do make a lot of our own stuff.
every two weeks i have to make pizza dough and sauce. alternate thursdays i make two weeks sauce. we have a vacuum sealer, and can seal in ball jars.
i put up two 4 cup doughs, one for pizza, the other for a loaf of bread. friday i cut the pizza dough in two and store the other half in the fridge to sour for next week, stretching out this half for our usual friday pizza. while the stretched pizza dough is resting, i bake the bread. this lets me bring the oven from the 450 bread temp to the 550 pizza temp. we use unleaded quarry tiles as pizza stones.
today too i had to grind more of our peanut butter from the unsalted roasted peanuts.
also had to toast the wheat germ that we put in our daily oatmeal that i put on the stove when i grind and brew the am coffee. usually throw a handful of raisins in, they plump up nicely while the oatmeal is cooling on the stove top.
and then there is the yogurt...
heat the gallon of milk to get the protein strands ready sterilize the ball jars in a 220 oven
cool the milk to 110 and mix in active yogurt cultures. we use quart ball jars. put the jars in a bath in the oven.
oven light usually keeps the oven at the 110 overnight that gives a good result.
and then there is the wood ...

Keeps you out of trouble!
I do a lot of my own stuff too… keto though. Was making lasagna, “noodle” out of cream cheese, eggs & cheese… it’s not like a real noodle but it’s not bad.
Also got into making crackers… mozzarella cheese, sour cream & almond flour.
Sauerkraut every couple weeks.
Looking forward to getting the garden going.

if you can take the occasional break from the keto, the no knead bread is as good as you're going to get anywhere. that includes white, whole wheat, rye, cinnamon raisin, or just about anything.

since the radiation, it seems that there may be some swelling that may be exacerbated by the bicycle seat.
so i cleaned up the NordicTrac and will be working my way back to time on that.
issue will be effect on knees and lower back.
what a drag it is getting older...
today only 15 minutes, but it does involve muscle groups that have gotten less work over time.
wood, etc.

going to modify my workout until i can get some treatment for the latest problem.
hopefully next week.
wet macular degeneration
not good.
since it involves rupture of blood vessels, i am going to avoid weight and resistance work.
still doing the NT and AD
and the occasional beach walk.
God, give us strength.

Today, after many telephone calls and much persuasion, we met with Dr who gave me the first of what will be monthly - for a term - intraviteral injections of Vabysmo (faricimab-svoa) to prevent more vision loss.
Merely a flesh wound.
took the rest of the day off.

the beach walks are delightful.
we are on the sand at cape, so we have to watch the tides, the entire sidewalk at the port shore front was destroyed by recent storms.
amazing how the tides move boulders weighing tons.
