No walk, got a kitten… has been hiding for the last 4 hours. Pretty feral at the moment, 7-8 weeks old maybe.

we've been walking too.
can't tell you how happy we are for your kitten.
and you too, being a cat lady and all.
how much more lucky can a cat be ?
almost lost, and winds up with you.
NC, another from that litter, has a history with feral cats.
great stories of meeting and greeting the kittens as feral mama brings them in from who knows where and drops them on NC's feet for inspection.
i have met a few.
i hope to meet a few more.
congratulations to you both.

She/He has been under a cabinet in the living room since he got here. Got food, water & litter box there for him. Hollered a couple times.
Gotta come out sometime.

Got my walk in. Timber still hasn’t come out. He did eat through the night so that was good. Hopefully he comes around soon.

One of my favorites would not come out into plain view for about the first year. every so often i would go down into the basement and search until i at least saw the reflection of the flashlight in her eyes.
once she was under the palettes we use to keep stuff off the floor in our sometimes wet basement, had to move a lot of stuff to get to see her.
eventually she came around, and was another of the great cats we have had over the years.
we are cat people. and dog people, and bird people, and just about every kind of pet people.
it is good to know that your new cat is in such good, experienced hands. even if the cat does not acknowledge it yet. of course, the cat knows, but she's a cat after all.
