Follow up on these subjects.
If Pam is correct, you are both familiar with my body solid cage. If I get the lat attachment, which provides both upper and lower cable stations, does the frame provide enough area for a foot rest to permit cable rows while stitting on the floor ? It seems to me that I'll only get my heels on it. Is that enough ? Also looks like plates will come down on toes ?
Geez, Jack, you had to go and say that the ghr set up is 2nd to the cage. Now I have to consider it even though the ghr set ups are expensive. Can one do all the roman chair stuff - hypers, reverse hypers, etc. - on it as well as the ghr stuff ?

I've got the same Body Solid rack that Pam has and my lat attachment is the selectorized stack so I don't know if there would be enough foot room with the plate loaded version. I do know this.........for seated rows there is not enough space on the lower cross frame to put your feet,2" is not much room to brace yourself. You'll either have to make a foot rest which could be a piece of 6x6,angled and beveled on one side or get the optional seated row foot brace. Either will get you far enough from the big plates and give you more surface area for foot support. I'd go(I did) with the foot brace. If you'll send me your e-mail I'll send you a picture.
The GHR........check out EFS,go to shop, then new items and you'll find their new home version GHR,it's not cheap but I'm willing to bet the farm it's better than any other you can find and probably competitive price wise. While your over there check under articles and you'll find hundreds of GHR exercise variations. As far as the other exercises you're only limited by your imagination and resourcefullness. For my money,if you only get one, forget the the Roman Chair and place it all to win on the GHR. Just pull the trigger and go for it.

If I'm not mistaken you can order a plate to attach to...well either the rack or the lat attachment for doing cable rows. I could be wrong there but I am pretty sure I've seen that. As far as the plates coming down on your toes...from what I've seen the lat attachment is on the outside of your cage..you'll be in the cage..unless you put your foot under them you should be ok. Ok screw all that...just reread jacks message and he said the same thing...I need some coffee

Thanks y'all,
Found the bodysolid foot brace attachment. not on their site though.
Q. the picture does not make it clear if the attachment slips over the cross bar for quick removal so the bench can be put into the cage. ?? This must be so.
The elitefitness site is very informative. Lots to learn and consider.
So,
First I'll get the lat attachment so I can do pull throughs.
And I'll get the foot brace attachment for rows.
Then I'll get the reverse hyper machine.
Then I'll get the glute ham raise machine.
Then I'll get ...
Boys and toys. I just have to stop somewhere.
Just for now I'll keep doing the weighted reverse hypers on the ball on the bench in the cage and the RDLs.
sigh,

Just my opinion but I dont think the foot plate is big enough...and the pad isnt angled...again just my opinion but if I were going to invest in a GHR..which I did...it would be from EF hands down.

you just have to know how to pick your spots ,word it very carefully and hope you don't reply with a " I don't feel like arguing about it" . Now that one will catch you flat footed every time, make you stutter and stammer and leave you scratching your head wondering what do I say next .

Ya caught me at a weak moment Jack...for the record, 99.99% of the time I'll ALWAYS feel like arguing about it. 100% of the time I'll be right.

It must have been my lucky day, 1 in a 1000 is close to a lottery winner . If you're always right and I'm in the same category, then what do to two rights make........something that definately isn't wrong,is what I'd say .
