As a matter of fact I was shopping for you today. Been busy the last few days. Trying to get the table moving a long...got it stained finally. Now I need to finish up some sanding on the legs, stain them and then start to poly everything. Kara's birthday was MOnday....14 years old!! Cant believe it. And she thinks she is going to drive next year...ha...I dont think so. If her dumb blonde act is just that maybe but if not, and I fear its not, then no way. Also came down with a bug on her bday of course. Was feeling better yesterday morning but started to feel icky again in the afternoon, have had a fever between 100-101 since yesterday. Not a good time to be sick but it seems to happen every year. At least it will be out of the way for christmas. Lets see what else. Took the van in yesterday for a estimate to see how much damage Rodolfo did. I tell you for something that didnt look that bad it sure costs a lot to fix. Good news is only have a $250 deductable because its considered something and not something else lol Hows that for insurance talk Had a guy from the insurance company come out and estimate it and came within $20 of the shops estimate so that was good. Should get a check next week and will take it in during christmas break. Oh did I mention that I was indeed shopping for you today...even though I was sick...cough cough...sneeze sneeze...so I expect no shit for not posting

Speaking of presents ...
Night before last I was dragooned into making calls to tots in the role of Santa.
Along with background info like names of siblings, pets, and teachers, the parents had given a list of suggested questions for Santa to ask their little ones.
One of the questions, as you might expect, was: "What would you like Santa to bring you ?"
I was worried about this question. Now the child was getting the chance to ask Santa directly for the desired present.
What if Santa didn't produce after the direct appeal ? Would the child be disappointed ?
"Oh, don't worry." said the rec dept worker who had recruited me. "The parents want to find out what the child wants, and these kids are too young to want too much."
"HO HO HO, THIS IS SANTA, JOHNNY. HAVE YO

HAVE YOU BEEN A GOOD BOY IN KINDERGARDEN FOR YOUR TEACHER, MRS SMITH ?
Oh yes, Santa.
AND HAVE YOU BEEN TAKING CARE OF YOUR HAMSTER, IRVING ?
Oh yes, Santa.
AND HAVE YOU BEEN GETTING ALONG WITH BROTHER BILLY AND SISTER SUE ?
Oh yes, Santa.
WELL, THE ELVES TOLD ME THAT YOU HAVE BEEN A GOOD BOY. AND WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO BRING YOU FOR CHRISTMAS ?
Santa, I want you to bring me ...
an aircraftcarrier.
I guess there is going to be at lest one disappointed little kid on Christmas morning.
Maybe three if Pam didn't get us what we want, Smoke.
Ho, Ho, Ho,

I remember once at Christmas time we were driving my mom nuts. So she called my dad and told him to call us and pretend he was Santa. I had a feeling it was him but was not about to take a chance. We were on our best behavior after that...at least for the rest of that day.
Sounds like a fun job fish.
Still waiting on a list from you and Smoke. The clock is ticking......

Well, Pam, if it happens that there is the occasion for a big party in your future, and if there were the right invitations, we could all four of us raise a glass together after all these years.
