Just wanted to get everyones attention. Anyone here have or know of anyone who has had a fine needle biopsy of their thyroid? I have to have one to check for thyroid cancer on Friday and I'm not afraid to admit I'm a little freaked out. I'm thinking I'd rather go through labor again.
So if anyone has any knowledge of the pain factor involved let me know.

Well I had my biopsy. The proceedure itself was painless, took about 30 minutes. I thought I got off pretty easy but about 10-15 mintues after the pain set it. Still prefer to have the pain afterwards than during thats for sure. Wont know the results until Monday.
One down 5 more to go.

Well, dear Pam, "they" say that their tests say that Nancy is ok. That's good news, of course, but we are still seeking answers.
During the echocardio, they noticed some anomalies on her thyroid, and she had some "echo" tests on her throid.
And so it goes.
You are in our thoughts and in our prayers.
