We need a new challenge for this week, hiding the scale was a bad thing for both Pam and I.
any suggestions? That is if you have no objections Pam.

The veggie thing.
A good veggie cookbook provides interesting healthful fast meals.
I know how hard it is to get back into cooking. But I wound up spending time to prep junk to eat anyway.
So do the 21 day thing and it becomes a habit to make good meals.
I started reading the cookbook while I was eating my oatmeal, putting yellow stickies in pages I thought were interesting, and carrying the cookbook in the car so that as I went past the food store on my way home I would take the book in with me to get whatever.
Some folks simply cook their way through a good cookbook, page after page, recipe after recipe.
And it all cooks up fast.
LSD
Long slow distance once or twice a week. Get out and take a two or three hour steady walk at a pushing pace. No excuse not to do this on at least one weekend afternoon. What, pray tell, is more important ? Or more enjoyable ?
I hear that there is a sporting event this weekend, but for the life of me I can't tell you who is playing. The rolling stones ?
Take yourself out for a walk !

No objections at all. I've been trying to think of one but cant. 2-3 hour walk sounds nice..that may be more of a spring/summer thing though. I hate cooking but this week planned out 6 dinners and I tell you it sure makes a difference being prepared. Sporting event? This weekend? That is banned from our house. Last time I planned a party for that weekend I almost burned the house down. Fire was in the kitchen and I was yelling fire..no one came. Luckily I had a fire extinguisher..but boy are those messy! Soot all over my NEW WHITE valences and had to leave the house for a few days. At least my life isn't boring.

Just a side note about football.......I had a personal interest in the Super Bowl.....I know #83 for the Steelers, Heath Miller.......he grew up just up the road from where I used to live......a real fine young man. So I rooted for the Steelers, watched him on every play.....usually passed on the commercials and chose alternative programming to the halftime show. So go Steelers and go Colts(met Peyton Manning when he was in college). New challenges.......how about a physical fitness test.....not much for weight loss but a challenge none the less........timed situps, pushups, pullups(or holds),stair climbing, whatever else you could think of. Winner claims bragging rights for the board. My money would be on you girls or Fish and I'd probably be dead last but if you want to set it up, I'm game. If you're into lifting, we could see who percentage wise increases their weight in a certain lift over a period of time. If it's running or walking a 5K on the treadmill.....the possibilities are endless. Wisconsin has wussy winters but if you live in a place that has deep snow.......walking in the deep stuff is a real workout. Basketball or touch football with the kids is a great aerobic workout......no soccer,it's a commie sport . If anyone can come up with a good challenge, count me in.

Sounds good Jack...are you volunteering to set it up?
Couple things for me right off the bat...I couldn't do a pull~up at gun point. also Keep in mind I don't have all the weight equipment that you guys do. (I do have Bench and dumbells) and believe it or not..lol no stairs.
Other than that fire away .

Jack you are a funny funny man. If I were hanging off a building I'd be lucky to save my left leg. So I'm with Smoke, if I were told do a pullup or die remember, I want to be cremated.
As for the % thing I think thats great if your PLing but not sure it would do me much good.
Touch football...gave that up a couple of years ago. Kids idea of touch football is not the same as mine.
Let me think on this a bit.
