Best method I have found for icing.
Zip lock bag, any size, but the bigger the better. The size of the bag depends on the application. I use quart bags.
Fill the bag 3/4 with a 3 to 1 mixture of water and rubbing alcohol.
Lock the bag. Put it in another bag and lock that one. Put them in a third bag and lock that one. This to insure against possible leakage.
Make as many as you need.
Put them in the freezer.
The mix turns into a thick slush.
Take the frozen bag(s) out and even the slush in the bag.
Wrap in a towel, or put in a canvas bag, and apply.
This is COLD, and it holds the temp for the 20 - 30 minutes.
The ones I bought in the store were expensive, and not nearly as good.

Just remember, the rubbing alcohol goes in the bag, the drinking alcohol goes in the glass.
