Busy at work..Tis' the Season.
Trying to get yard cleaned up for winter, Still need to get motorcycle put in shed, put smoker away, clean and cover grill, LOTS OF LEAVES! fertilize the yard and get the garlic and asparagus covered.
Mom & Dad both had Dr. appts yesterday...doc's suck big time but what else is new. Overall they came out ok, they adjusted Dad's meds for blood sugar, Mom was good with blood sugar and blood pressure but when Dad asked doc about the alzheimers and her memory...he left! jerk! I hate docs! They are planning on leaving for Fl. next week, he spoke with someone last year down there that had a Dr. that they recommended that Mom might see. Hopefully he can get in and they can help her out some.
Took the Kats to the vet last night for their yearly shots and check up...gotta luv the serenade of the 2 of them. They weren't very happy campers to say the least. They both are fine though. one is 9.5 lbs and horse is almost 15! lol
Other than that things are going ok...not much working out with these long days...just don't seem to have it in me.
Hope you guys are doing well. Catch ya soon

The same.
Put the boats away, although there may be a day when we take them out for the last-last trip of the year.
Colleague-friend of mine died Monday. Solo parent with one kid still in college. Two years cancer. At least she won’t have to suffer through the next 4 years.
Knees began to act up again. I decided to do the remedies in isolation to find which one was working. It seems to me that it is the stretching. So about 6 minutes 2x a day seems to be working.
Chain saws and mauls getting some use.
As for docs, last week Nancy told them that she had sensitivity to shrimp, but they used the iodized contrasting fluid for the CT and she had an anaphylatic reaction.
all ok now, thank God.

Sorry about the loss of your friend.
Haven't quite figured out why Dr's have this aversion to listening to you when you talk to them..they all need to go back to class "Pay Attention 101"...most of them were out that day. Glad to hear Nancy is ok now.
Guess the leaves are about finished up your way as well, about 2 weeks ago it was spectacular around here, best I've seen in several years. We had alot of rain and wind over the weekend so that pretty much killed it.
Along with the rain this weekend also came a leak in the roof..I was not thrilled going out at 9pm in the rain putting a tarp on my roof. We think it may have come from a nail in the ridge vent. So we smutzed them and also re~smutzed around the chimney...guess we will find out the next good rain if it worked. Sucks cause I just did the roof anbout 3 years ago. Fun of being a home owner I suppose.
Managed to get almost everything done around the yard..still need to trim back and cover asparagus. Helped my Dad out with more stone...he got 10 ton and it wasn't quite enough so he had aother 10 ton delivered. He too is trying to clean up to get ready to go to Fl. Plans on leaving next Saturday but I don't think his heart is in it this year. It will probably be the last year they go down.
Well I need to get going here. Hope you had a good weekend fish and Pam if your out there lurking about.

I wouldn't wait for it to rain, Smoke. Get the garden hose out.
You know how water can migrate a considerable distance from the situs of the leak. I have had to open the interior ceilings more than once to trace a leak back. Well, I opened them to repair them because I couldn't find the damn leak in time to limit the damage sufficently.
I have felled a few trees, wanting to try the technique on smaller ones before trying a big one. Chain saws are terrifying things.
What is your Dad doing with 20 tons of stone ?
HeyZeus, that's a lot of work.
And exercise too.
Keep the faith,

Had to wait for smutz to dry...supposed to rain this week...Actually they are calling for snow! and yes I know about water traveling..Every time I've had a problem I've been lucky that it comes through in a place where it doesn't matter much...I hope it stays that way..I hope I don't have problems but if I do. also I have almost full access to the attic so I'm able to track it down somewhat.
Dad had red shale around the house for years, he needed stone to repair the driveway and decided to go back to grey around the house as well. Really only needed 15 ton but I told him..ya always need stone somewhere. It's 3/4" so its pretty easy moving it around, we did the first 10 ton in about 2 days. At least I got a bit of a workout in.
