I have tried more than a few, with varying success. This is my new plan - a mix of a few. - eat when hungry
- eat what I want, within reason, trying to stay away from highly processed foods
- eat slowly and deliberately
- stop when full (what a concept! )
- drink water
- exercise 3.5 hours per week
My goal is health gain with weight loss as a benefit not the goal.

E,
after years of resistance, we finally got a george forman grill. i think it is a G5. it came with 5 different removable plates.
like everyone else in the world, you may already have one.
if you don't, the thing is great. we got it "chez marden's" (what we call the local salvage discount house) for 40 bucks.
anyway, whether coincidental or not, i have lost about 8 lbs since we got the thing.
BJs sells boned chicken thighs. this thing cooks two up in three minutes. moist, tender.
grills all kinds of veggies.
the sandwiches are great too.
one could cook for a family on the thing, but it also makes it very quick and convenient to get clean, nourishing, appetizing, relatively low-cal food for one or two.
geez, i sound like an advertisement .

I have the original George Forman grill. - not enough space in my kitchen to store it so it's home became an used chair in the dining room. That was until I realized how much it resembled a toilet seat (the original GF was white) . So it is now stuffed into a back cabinet where I forget about it. Thanks for the reminder.
