I was recently diagnosed as vitamin D deficient. There are a whole host of issues associated with that, including insulin resistance and difficulty is losing weight. Here is a link to the Vitamin D Council: www.vitamindcouncil.org/Might be worth looking at supplementing if you live north of Atlanta (which it looks like most of us do). If you do make sure it D3. That my 2 cents.

ejoyce, my young friend, eric cressey, tells me that vit D is very important for many reasons. i tend to take eric seriously. eric is, or more properly was, the kid next door. when he was 18 or so, he literally did not have the strength to throw a basketball up to the 10 ' rim. now he is very strong. ericcressey.com/about-ericfish

I take vit D3. Don't know if it makes a difference or not but I read somewhere that it was good and I don't get outside enough, I'm sure. The sun is bad for my skin and also it seems my activities are centered in the house. Haven't figured out how to get the icons I want yet.

My kids pediatrician even recommended that the kids start taking Vit D.
I've also heard if you wear sunscreen you're not able to absorb Vit D, and hopefully we are all wearing that.
