Great timing on posting those articles fish. Not sure if I hurt my shoulder or my bicep. Sounds odd but the pain seems to move around. Very painful for me to put my arm over my head. Started to bother me about 2 weeks ago but dont remember doing anything to it. Didnt do anything that got my attention anyway. Kept lifting because it didnt bother it. I'm smarter now. If an exercise hurts I dont do it. Hurts just to do everyday stuff now. Is this what getting old is all about? Heal from one injury just in time to get another??
Thanks for posting the links. Going to sticky this as we seem to have a lot of shoulder problems here.
Were you kidding about the male, female, other question?

Here is a link to the rotator cuff article. This article has prophylactic exercises. Light weight, simple exercises to condition the shoulder to avoid injury during more strenuous exertions. www.t-nation.com/findArticle.do?article=280rotator2And on the "other" point. no, I am not kidding. They are taking us too damn far, and we are cooperating in our own destruction because we are afraid that someone will call us intolerant. I asked the doc whether there was some medical significance to the sexual category "other". He said that there was not, and that in fact it could lead to misdiagnosis in areas where test data has to be read in the context of gender. His insurance company provided the questionnaire so he used it, but if someone checks off the "other" box, he makes sure to get the true gender in the records somewhere. sigh, fish
