That I absolutly hate Dr's
Went today, on Depo for birth control..gyn is really the only dr I go to so I can get the prescription. He and I have gone round and round over blood pressure for years. Pert of it is white coat, part is my BP does go up if I don't workout and eat a little better.
Ok I go in...today my bp id 120/78...he says oh your bp is up, who is your primary care dr. I about flipped shit! are ya kidding me 120/78 is high...since when?
Ya know when Dr's stert advocating for better food and less drugs and better overall health and education...maybe I'll have a tiny bit of respect for them.
ok I said my peace...for the moment. lol

I hear ya. I hate doctors...all except my kids...he is an amazing doctor. Sure wish he was a GP.
My blood pressure was up to something like 135/78 when I went in...total white coat for me...but she didnt recheck it (which at least my old doc would do)nor did she say anything about it. They just dont care anymore.
She wanted to me get fitted for a Holter monitor...for heart flutters. Unfortunately they have come back. So I call the place. They dont have the orders. So I call my clinic and they fax them while I am on the phone with them. Call the other place 30 mins later no orders. The lady makes me feel like a fool for calling saying they call all their patients when they get the orders the patients dont call them. So I wait, 3 days, nothing.
I call again and she says he had to fax them back because they werent right. I ask when she did this, she says about an hour ago...good timing eh...dont think so. I asked when she got them, 3 days ago. So she says they should be back by the afternoon and she will call me. That was 3 weeks ago. Now I only get these just before my period so I only have about a 2 week period I can get it.
So I finally get a call today. Tell them its too late and ask if it really took 3 weeks to get the orders. Of course not...I should have CALLED!! Just bugs the heck out of me.
I still say I wish I could see a Vet, they are the only docs who seem to really care about their patients.

thank God for the internet.
woops !! i forgot that it was al gore who invented the internet. even if you hate drs, you can't imagine how i feel about politicians.
i research health issue and medications on the internet. i then ask my drs questions, and i demand that they answer the questions. i then take the answers back to the internet to confirm them.
fewer and fewer people have difficulty doing this. more likely to die if you do, so fewer and fewer do. it moves the numbers.
although US health care is the best in the world, i have to agree with you. in my experience it is not so good.
and it will collapse entirely if Our Dear Leader gets his way with government involvement in health care. (did i happen to mention hatred ?)
it's not like you have to go far to confirm this. it has failed in every single country that has ever tried it.
did teddy kennedy (did i happen to mention hatred ?) go to canada for treatment ?
did mary jo get the chance to go to anywhere for treatment ?

I'm with you on the research fish. I often think I could pass as a doctor. What I hate is how most, despite what evidence you may have, have their narrow view of how things should be and poopoo anything different.
I once had an endo tell me my heart flutters were all in my head. Could have sworn they were in my chest but then I'm just the idiot patient. Never did go back to him.
I'm depressed, this time its taking me longer to get out. Reality is setting in. Working through an exercise Karas therapist gave me....its a long process. But I wont go to my doctor to see what more to do about it, I have an appointment with my nutritionist...the one who discovered my thyroid problem. I believe God gave us all we need to take care of ourselves. I understand that some meds are important and life saving but I think most of the time they can be avoided.
Does that have anything to do what the subject??? Lately I just seem to ramble.
Politicians...dont get me started.
Lawyers, felt totally ripped off by my divorce lawyer...went to another one concerning Ryan and I dont think I could have found a better one. Just good solid advice.
Heading to see yet another one concerning our contractor who walked out on us. I ran a check on him through a place online called snoopes something or another. His record is as long as my arm. He owes everyone. Will we ever see our money? Doubtful. Will be be able to go on ripping people off...without a doubt. They have done nothing as of yet to him. Our system needs an overhaul. He should be behind bars. He is the scum of the earth.
Im done.

i absolutely agree.
the only difference is that the dr is telling everybody that he wants to help everybody. he may actually be telling the truth, but ...
the politician is telling everybody that he wants to help everybody. he lies.
the lawyer, on the other hand, is telling one person, his client, that he wants to help one person, his client, to the exclusion of everyone else, and if that means ruthlessly screwing everybody else, well, they can get a lawyer too.
a courtroom is a battlefield, and battlefields are bloody places.

posted that other one before i saw yours, Pam.
rule: gotta get references and check them out.
especially for contractors. it is even worth it to go see the work.
same for drs and lawyers.
ask for - no - demand references and check them out.
as for the attys...
as i have told young lawyers for years, lawyers work in the sewers, and when you work in the sewers you gets sh*t on the soles of your shoes. the trick is not to get sh*t on your soul.
keep working, pam.
and keep the faith.
