Well, my workout was pretty simple. 5 sets of 5 doing power cleans with 135. I did 3 sets of triceps pushdowns with a setting of 8 (what that equates to poundage-wise, I have no idea). I finished off with a set of push presses with the same 135. I just have to make due with what I have until we get somewhere with a squat rack and a decent bench. I miss box squats so much...
April did 5 sets of 5 on the leg press with 225 (+whatever the press weighs), 3 sets of 8 on each of the following: triceps pushdowns, pec decs, lat pulldowns. I'm just getting her used to working out with some full body routines. I'm still amazed at the leaps in strength total newbies make. She could only do a single 45 on the leg press for maybe 5 reps the first time she did the leg press. She finished off with 20 minutes of cardio. I'm super proud of her.

I wish I could get 10 % of the gains i got when I first started. My squat and good morning gains are still OK but nothing compared to the first 3 months I started this stuff. Get her some more big gains and she'll be hooked.

Sounds like April is doing great. If shes anything like me the strength gains will keep her going. I loved it when I started actually getting stronger. Dont seem to be going anywhere lately but I'm already hooked. I think its sweet how proud you are of her.

The strength gains are a major rush. As odd as it sounds, strength gains had a lot to do with me leaving my ex-wife. It's funny, but when you realize that you're using weight that frightens most 'normal' people you begin to believe in yourself and start thinking that maybe all the things being said about you aren't true.

Doesnt sound odd at all Chris. It wasnt too long after I started lifting that I had a similar revelation.
