This is one of the few times I've started feeling soreness right after a speed workout. I really concentrated on getting my ass off the box and driving the bar upward with as much force as I could exert. I started off a little slow but by the last 3 sets I was moving pretty good. I can feel the extra effort and the YGHR's. Speed box squats(12.75" box,no suit, belt after warmups)-- warmup sets,8x2x265 w/60#'s chain; YGHR(2" elv.)--4x8xBW,1x15xBW(the 8 rep sets were the yielding's and i didn't yield that much ,only a 1001 count 1/2 way up but a little longer pause at the bottom); Rev. hypers--1x8x140,140,140,150; Standing ab pulldowns--4x8x70; Rev. crunch--3x25; Rev. preacher curls--1x12x43,48; 1x10x53,58; 1x8x63; Tri pushdowns(minibands)--4x25(pushed out and down with these); Preacher BB curls--1x10x63,68,73. It took an hour and half but it was Friday and it was raining outside so I felt I deserved a little more time in the garage. I didn''t really rush anything either, just sort of messed around between exercises and kept everything picked up. I tried a new energy drink, Sobe Adrenlin Rush. It seemed to give me a pick me up but that could have been the cup of coffee I had before I came home. TFTD--"you wait a month and half for a doctors appointment and they tell you that you should have come in sooner" .

I'm working out today, I'm working out today (as I tap my heels together) Nice job Jack. You make me feel so inadequate. Though the reason I havent been able to workout much this week has nothing to do with being tired or lazy it is really getting to me. This is just too much time off for me. I am going to workout today come he** or high water. I need to get back to a schedule. I cant even type that with a straight face. Fact is I know I wont have any kind of anything that even resembles a schedule so I am just going to deal with that and do whatever workout I find most important (can you say ME squat) when I have time. YGHR...longer pause at the bottom...that would be called resting. I know I know....I shouldnt talk with my workout track record the last few weeks but I couldnt resist.

Thanks Pam for setting me straight on the terminology of the yghr positions. Do you think that will help me with them ? You better get your a s s back under that bar . I'm going to have make you a morning person so you can get in,get out ,and get on with your day. You're doing just fine and the layoff will be valuable rest time for your shoulder and knee. They will thank you for the time off. Now,let's get it on .
