Old and weak....well then I'll just look that much better. Seriously fish you cant be that much older than I am, and I know you're not as old as my mom. I'm 40...and yes I still have a tough time typing or saying that. I'm still adjusting to the big "4"...I liked being "in my thirties". Was the article you were referring to by Davies "Bear Season - Learn to perform the most brutal exercise ever created!" I read that the other day and cant wait to see if I can do that.

Nate, see my other reply under the training section. I've read that grape juice aids in the delivery of creatine. Some creatines,Like EAS Betagen claim they have an advanced delivery system that can be taken with any liquid. When I was taking creatine I used Gatoraide as the mixer. See my other post under the Training Section.

Fish,I haven't read the article you mentioned. I'll let Pam give me the details on that one. As far as the running vs. DE work, you go first . Actually I do cardio as a warmup but running is not my cup of tea. Walking or biking(if I had a bike) are OK but running just "ain't" going to happen with me. I'm saving my ankles and knees for another mistress.........squats.

thanks for the help abot the creatine. The reason I was wondering about it is because I just get frustrated with slow gains. For how much I workout Im not really happy with my strength. I dont think I should be so hard on myself, Im happy with the way I look just not the strength. By the way the only reason I lift is because I love it and it helps with stress.

Nate, are you doing a body building routine or training for strength. They are two different animals. If you're not pleased with your strength gains, then you might want to examine your training. While a bodybuilding program will produce some strength gains only a dedicated strength training regimen will produce real strength gains.
As for the creatine question,I missed the cycling part.............most people recommend a 1:1 cycling period,2 months on and 2 months off. If you don't cycle, supposedly your body relies on the supplemental creatine and slows down its own absorption of natural creatine found in foods. The creatine won't make you stronger, only a strength training program will do that. Let me know if you need any thing.

Nate, were not experts here, althought we do like to pretend to be , but how about you post up your current workout so we can take a look at it and maybe see if we can help you figure out why you're not making the gains you want. It may be a matter of just changing things up a little bit, especially if you've been doing the same thing for a long time. Also, like Jack said, training for strength and bodybuilding are two totally different things. You might even want to give a powerlifting routine a try for a while and see what kind of progress you make. Just an added note, I think its so great that you workout, and more so that you enjoy it. I've been trying forever to get my son so start workingout but it never lasts. For what its worth I think what you're doing and why is great. Post up your workout, exercises/sets/reps and let us see if we can try to help you more. Have a great weekend!
