Been reading lots of articles about winter bulk up.
I've been riding on the trainer every day (10 miles a day for the last 6!) I was doing at least that this past summer and the wt came off. not now!
I hate thay my farm guy isn't there. I swear that's what did it..I was buying fresh veggies every week and not eating much bread, pasta, rice.
Winter time = more carbs.
I can't wait till spring.

I agree, the veggies here spoil if you don't eat them by the next day!

salads work for me. at least one dinner a week is a big salad only with some good bread.
ez on the olive oil, and not the whole baguette, although it sure is tempting.

and i don't care what they say, my metabolism slows down in the winter.
i move just as much, maybe more, and the cold should burn cals all by itself, but i've been in this body long enough to know when it's running slow.
i burn fewer cals in the winter, and i think it makes evolutionary sense.
seems to me that the process of evolution was very intelligently designed.
why are they fighting about it ?
oh, never mind.

I totally agree with you Fish.. I've been riding most of the month..have just over 150 miles logged, sweat like a banchie when I workout and have gained! Tired alot of the time and am quite happy with going to bed at 6:30 -7:00. Kind of like a mini hibernation.
