Went to the farm stand and talked Harry into giving me a good deal on some2nds tomato"E"s...so.Jar'd some tomato"E"s and made some home made BBQ sauce..productive afternoon none the less.

ok, Dan Quayle. "you spell tomatos, and i spell tomatoes ..." anyway, for longer short term food storage great tool = foodsaver with ball jar vacuum lid cap. this thing is really good. it works. regular ball jar tops seal for weeks at a time tight enough that you can't pop the top with your fingers. need to use an opener. have to have a food saver that has one of the accessory hoses. here is the wide mouth cap, they offer regular as well: www.amazon.com/FoodSaver-T03-0023-01-Wide-Mouth-Jar-Sealer/dp/B00005TN7H/ref=cm_cr_pr_pb_t/188-5764780-8527265foodsaver machines get mixed reviews. we got ours very discounted and it has worked well. no matter, it would have paid for itself by now even if we had gotten it retail.

Oh and maybe it's just me sue but I didn't see a recipe for the BBQ sauce? You know the drill, and don't forget measurements!
