Very interesting book. She talks about brain chemistry and how being out of whack (my technical verbiage not hers) can make it almost impossible to lose. I've been low carb for almost a year now, not pork rind low carb but no processed crap, no sugar and no wheat, but still craved sweets. The cravings did not go away as most people claim with me. Started to take glutamine morning and evening in addition to putting 1/8 tsp under my tongue when I start to crave sugar and kid you not my cravings are almost gone.
I got this advice and book recommendation from my nutritionist so have had help formulating how much to take but from what I've read glutamine is pretty benign, it's an amino acid. Supposed to work for any cravings. I'm also taking a couple other supps but the glutamine is amazing. Never thought I'd actually lose cravings for sweets.
Anyway just wanted to share, it's a very interesting book. Well worth a read and kindle download.

Lol
I just like the science behind this. Interesting how its mostly about your brain chemistry being off. And it's not like you have to take supplements forever, apparently most people can balance them in 6-12 months.
One part was talking about cravings and if your low in magnesium for example you may crave chocolate because its high in magnesium. Our bodies are pretty amazing.

i admit that i think diet has something to do with the knee thing.
it is bi-lateral.
not arthritis.
so i think it is inflammation.
at the same time i fear that the problem is that i am allergic to cats and dogs, and we have had dogs and cats forever.
when this cat goes, perhaps we will wait before getting another animal just to see if it makes a difference.
