So I had to take my folks to the Dr. today...Mom did really well, Got a script for an in home nurse to come in and do vitals ect. It's getting really hard to get her to the Dr anymore. and the nurse can do what he does.
Dad on the other hand is going to be my next handfull..I'm right there with you Pam! I wish he would straighten himself out but I'm sure he wont.
A1c was 11..should be 7 or less. He gained about 20 lbs in the last 2-3 years. Complaining about his knees. Dr. says get away from the sweets, up the insulin, exercise......none of which he will do. Said something to the Dr. about tell him to get away from artificial sweetners, he says to me well you can have that talk with him..HE WON'T LISTEN TO ME DIPshit!!!!
Not sure what he's going to do or not do...Frustrating to say the least.

if you tell guys that they can have a longer decline unto death only if they do things they don't want to do and only if they don't do things they do want to do, for example, only if they not eat and drink things they want to eat and drink ...
that ain't gonna work.
i'm not sure what does,
but i am sure that it has to be about why life as they are going to have to live it is worth living.
so i suggest that you ask those who know you, yours, and your dads, what those peo[ple think might would make your dads think their lives are worth living.
then do your best to get your dads to think about those things.
easy to say, not easy to do.
