If you live alone you have no business making christmas cookies! They never make it out of the house.

LOL same goes if Tanner lives with you. I put a bunch in the freezer for xmas eve, I noticed them out on the counter and told him he can't eat those. He puts his hand on mine and says "Mom let it go" i said Tanner they are for christmas eve, He says, Mom, they are not going to make it to christmas eve, let it go LOL It may have been more funny in person. Looks like Kara and I will be baking this coming weekend..again.

but what could be better than to be baking Christmas cookies with your daughter ?
6 year old Lucy decided she wanted to help me make the pizza last weekend.
got out the stool so she could stand even with the countertop and we put the pie together.
i could not have been more happy.

I have to admit..I was seriously upset one of the first years that My Mom & Dad went to Fl. and I made cookies by myself...was sad for me...I missed my Mom......I still miss her.
Good memories though of doing that with her as a kid and young adult.
I'm sure Lucy will remember doing those things as well.

Ah fish, there is nothing better. I LOVE those times and miss so much Ryan being here to help decorate, and eat the cookies. I've had to do a bulk of the cooking for christmas eve by myself and I sure miss her help. Tanner enjoys sampling but not so much the actually cooking.
Sue, I miss doing cookies with my mom too. Us girls would always spend an entire weekend baking…geez i miss that. I've invited her over several times, tried to get us all together again..would be so much fun now with the girls too, but everyone is too busy…sad…they don't really understand even yet what is really important.
Fish I know you know how special those moments are…we all do…the moments with our family.
Hey if you guys want to come on over we will be baking again this weekend as Tanner has eaten all we baked last weekend…and he's losing weight…I still love him though…
With that I think I'll go and have myself a good cry…tis the theme for today…oh how I wish we could bring back days gone by…..
