I may have found my limit for weight on the speed work. It took me 4 sets to really get going and then the last 2 sets were a little sloppy. So that only gave me 4 good sets with any kind of speed. I'll try 65% next time but if I'm slow from the get go,I'll adjust to a weight that's more speed friendly. Speed box squats(12.75" box,suit,belt)--10x2x260 + 60#'s of chain; GHR--10x10xBW(don't ask me why, just got a wild hair ); Reverese hypers--1x15x70,2x12x90,110(went light so I wouldn't aggrevate my ham); Kneeling ab pulldowns(facing away from the stack)--1x15x40,1x12x50,2x10x60; Rev. crunch--3x15( I know that's not many but I just did these to help loosen my lower back); Wrist curls--1x15x68,78,88(e-z curl bar, another wild hair and not a good idea). The ham came out of this one OK. The heel is a different story. I'm sure it's a bone spur. Surgery is not an option. I'm going to have to "cowboy up" .

10x10xBW? What on earth were you on tonight? I want some of that stuff!!! Nice job Jack. Hey thanks for helping me devise a more doable workout routine. I think this is going to work out a lot better. Now I get to fill in the rest of the days with cardio. Surgery is always an option...dont be a baby Jack. Do I need to remind you of the 3 c-sections, carple tunnel , gallbladder and leg surgery I've had? If I can do it you can do it! You should at least go to the doctor and have things checked out and weigh your options.

Jack,
are you sure that it's a spur ? have you been in the hands of the leaches ?
i suffered, and know a number of football players and runners who suffered, a "bone bruise" deep in the heel, that hurt like steping on the point of a knife. that took what seemed like forever to heal, but that did eventually get better.
not easy to do. after all, it only hurts when you step on it. but they do have those gel heel cups now that might help.
good luck,
fish

Fish makes a good point Jack, although he did forget to mention that if it is a bone spur surgery is always an option.

hey, jack,
did i forget to mention ...
if you are willing to share, why have you decided against surgery as an option ?
i've been filleted a number of times. nothing i looked forward to, but well worth it after the fact.

Fish, though I dont know for sure why Jack doesnt consider surgery an option I think its because he has whats called the C-Factor......He's CHICKEN! Just giving you a hard time Jack! Sorry, just in one of those "rare" smart a** moods tonight.

Pam,you're half right . The other factor is the down time. Men are known for their ability to suffer pain and as long as I can keep going, that's the direction I'm headed. What was I on.......nothing except a bad mood which resulted from my box squats. I needed some punishment for a less than a stellar effort and attitude . I was only going to do 3x10 but I thought what a pussey you are,try 10x10. Now how about 7x15 or 5x20. You can tell how exciting things are arond here . If you've pegged me correctly and I'm a chicken at least I'll try and be the rooster .
