ME Rack Pulls
Rack pulls (1” below knee/Sumo) 1x10x45 1x8x95 1x3x145,165,185,*scraped off some of the pool cue chalk…I’m buying some tomorrow!)200,210,220(PR)
Swissball crunch 3x25x40
Leg Ext 3x25x50
Band Leg Curls (each leg) 2x25xpurple band
This was a short workout. I could have gone up with the rack pulls but I had sick kids to deal with. The chalk made a huge difference, I loved the sumo’s. I can’t wait to do them again. I stuck with the triples because to be honest I think I’m getting a little burned out…yes Jack I know you’re thinking…how can you get burned out when you don’t workout! I just need a change, when it starts to because work I know its time to change things up. That’s about it, I need to get dinner ready before Ryan had to leave for lacrosse.
I hope ya’ll had a good weekend.

I thought you'd like the sumo stance and knew you'd love the chalk. The sumo stance is much kinder on my back than conventional but it does require stronger hips and it looks like yours are pretty good . Who would think that a little chalk would make all the difference in your grip. Let's see if you can work those rack pulls down 2 more inches next time. A couple of tips on the sumo stance.............don't stay down very long and give a little butt dip just before you pull. Besides a shorter distance to pull, the sumo stance makes it easier for me to pull back and keep the bar from drifting forward as it tends to(with me) pulling conventional. PR's are sweet. I think changing to trips is a good move if you've got a weak point you're dealing with and just for the change itself. I've been doing trips on my bench for the last two weeks and have been pleased. How are the calouses doing ?

Well its hard to get excited about a PR when its the first time you've done the exercise, but I'll take it where I can get it. I definitely need a change. I decided today that if the workout I have planned makes me dread going down there then I'm going to change it up. I dont have any plans to compete anytime soon and for now one of my main goals is to just get the workouts in! The sumo's felt great. I had Ryan watch my shoulders to make sure they stayed behind the bar. I didnt think I would be able to get as close to what I did with a regular stance but it was nice. I really like the stance. It would appear the children have passed on to me whatever it is they have. They arent sick sick, just, well I'll spare you the details.

How did I miss this message so early in the evening . Make sure you keep a tight arch in your back with these. "Whadaya" mean dread going there. If you want some stuff to spice up your workout, let me know. Don't plan on competing any time soon...........you're starting to sound like me but mine's I'm not ready yet. I think we both should just do it. If we wait until we're ready we'll never get there. Let me know about meet schedules in your area and we might just shame the other into competing . I hope you recover soon .

Well dread was probably too a strong word. I was trying to figure out what it was and I think I determined it was going for a single PR all the time. I love lifting heavy but what I mean is I am running all over the place all the time...I never really seem to have the energy I need to go for that PR (single). I'm not really explaining it right. I always get into my workouts when I'm down there and even if I didnt want to do it, it only takes one set and I am there....I dont know...I just enjoy the triples. Competing now just isnt something that I am really interested in doing....I want to lose weight first....I wouldnt do it even if I wanted to at this weight. Just the facts Danno.
