So Fish, what sort of snow scoop do you use? was looking at them on amazon. and how does it work once you start getting piles of snow...doesn't look like the sort of contraption that could easily be lifted up by any means. I'm sure there are youtube videos buy I can't get videos at home.

looks a lot like this one www.amazon.com/Garant-EPSS24-Poly-Sleigh-Shovel/dp/B001FD3HQU/ref=sr_1_13/189-8019532-4376547?ie=UTF8&qid=1392566680&sr=8-13&keywords=snow+scoopi am pretty sure this is what we have. the prices and delivery charges are messed up on amazon. we got ours at home depot, i think. very easy to use and very effective. the operator never picks the scoop up, but rather runs it into and then over the snow surface. notice that the handle is shaped so that if the operator pushes it down by the high horizontal, the front edge of the scoop comes up off the ground. this creates an angle that keeps the snow in the scoop while the scoop rides over snow. so to fill the scoop, push so that the front edge of he scoop is low to the ground. when the scoop is full raise the front edge. then bring the full scoop back away from the snow you want to remove, push or pull the full scoop to where you want to dispose of the snow, push the scoop with the front edge raised up and over the snow that is where you want to put the scooped snow. push the scoop forcefully forward and pull it back and the snow slides out of the scoop. imagine a driveway cleared of snow with a walkway that runs perpendicular to the drive. working from the drive, push the scoop into the snow on the walkway. then drag the full scoop back across the driveway, turn it around, and push it up and over the snow on the far side of the driveway. this works really very well. just go to home depot or the hardware store and buy one, you'll like it, i promise. so do all the reviewers at amazon.
