Looks like it was our friend Shirl.
I had anther friend that I met as a kid..I was about 10 and she hasd a summer cabin near by. She would swim at our lake and we got to say hi now and again, then we would talk for a bit. over the many years our friendship grew, I looked forward to the spring and her visits to her cabin. We would spend many hour together, she took care of her husband until his death. She still traveled extensively, was a shutterbug so we would always have a slideshow of where she had been. I had the chance to go to the Galopogus Islands with her...I had to turn it down...I needed the money for a down payment on my house. We spent lots of time watching otters, and eagles on the lake, late nights watching flyin squirls eating peautbutter off the tree near her porch. Shooting stars in august. She sold her cabin a few years ago and we exchanged Christmas cards.....I hadn't gotten one the last 2 years.
After seeing Shirls obt. I looked her up. She passed in 2012...she was 94...I'm sad...But I have some AWESOME memories that I have to hold onto. She had alot to do with making me the person I am today.
