So quite awhile ago my Dad gave me my Mom's wedding ring as well as another dinner ring she had made from her original wedding ring and another diamond that she won...My Dad gave her the 2nd set on there 25 anniversary.
So today I go out and he says oh I have something I want you to take....He brings out a box and it had HIS wedding band and another diamond & gold ring he had gotten.
New teritory that I'm a bit uncomfortable being in.
I guess if I had kids it wouldn't be a problem but since there is a bit of a rift between my dad and my niece and nephew..it kinda creates a problem...stuff like that should be handed down...neither one of them would ever appreciate them.
I was a bit rattled when I opened the box.

My advice is to just hang onto them, you'll know what you should do with them when the time comes.

I agree with Eileen, kind of the same problem here.
Just hang on to them for now.
