We have been away to a place with no cell phones and no internet. It was wonderful ! ogontzarts.com/choral-workshop/#choral-masterworksWe spent 4 hours a day in three sessions working up: ▶ Faure Cantique de Jean Racine ▶ Poulenc O Magnum Mysterium ▶ Poulenc Exultate Deo ▶ Poulenc Salve Regina ▶ Messiaen - O Sacrum Convivium - YouTube ▶ Villette Hymne a la Vierge ▶ Fauré - Requiem I learned a lot. The folks were nice, the food was good, and the lake was big enough for me to row my boat which I did as many as three times a day. The cabins were platforms with roofs. We pitched our summer tent and put two of the cabin twin mattresses inside. Worked fine. Other people slept with the mosquitoes.

No cell and no internet sounds wonderful!
Were you there with a choir? Learning the music?

Sounds wonderful! The White Mountains are beautiful. I wish I could sing....sounds so good in my head but yikes what comes out my mouth is so wrong.

maybe 60 voices, from all over the country.
most somewhat experienced.
singing is a technical skill. if a person makes what they consider unpleasant sounds, it is because they are doing something wrong, and that something can often be fixed in ten minute by a coach who knows what s/he is doing.
and there are those who make pleasant sounds but think that the sound is not pleasant.
nc has a beautiful voice, but she is unsure about it.

I play bad guitar and sing out of key so I figure 2 wrongs make a right!
