Dad's B~Day today..the Big 80!!!!
Took him out to dinner..LOL asked him if he wanted me to ask my Brother to go with...LOL looks right at me with one of those "Look" and says..No! I always knew I was his favorite..lol

get him to tell the stories.
and record them.
with a camera too.

I'm taking your advice fish. Was just going to record if he started but thought there might be stories he wants to tell that he may not.
Sad news is his condition is just getting worse fast, I honestly don't think I will have my dad for much longer. I so hope that I am wrong and he decides to make a big change. I fear he feels its just too late.

ask him questions.
think of things you'd like to know,
when where and how he met mom, their engagement, their wedding, etc.
his parents, his grandparents, his great grandparents.
the family stories and legends.
his happy memories,
his work.
ask your kids what they would like to know.
use your imagination.
get him laughing.
