I messed around with a lot of different stuff,hip band extensions,dimels(bar only),side bends,a bunch of calf raises,box squats(bar only). I'm squatting next week.
Pull throughs--3x10x80; 1x10x90,100,110,120;
Leg band curls(green band)--2x8 ea. leg, 2x8 both legs;
Kneeling ab pulldowns--1x12x80,1x10x90,5x8x100;
Back extensions--3x10.
Here's a good one.........I did the first set of back ext. off the bench and I didn't take into account that floor was only 21" away and on the first rep I drove my head into the concrete and the air turned blue. I wove a tapestry of profanity that would have made a drill sergeant proud. It's a good thing I've got a thick skull as it serves me well on a lot of things.

Why the extensions off the bench and not the GHR? Yep those floors can be nasty that way..have a way of jumping up at you. Hey guess what I did? I pulled my #$%*&%@ shoulder coughing! Now who does? It hurts like a son of a gun every time I cough. Take care of that head...how is your back doing?

Back is better,good enough to go next week. Deadlifts may have to wait a while.
I did the extensions off the bench just to see what they were like and I found out quickly. No ROM and a good headache.
When you say you pulled your #$%^!!@^ shoulder is it the same one and same type of injury you previously had. We're sounding like a M.A.S.H. unit.

Yep same shoulder...same place...and boy does it hurt. Looks like Fish is going to have to hold down the fort for now...he seems to be the only one not on the injured list.

You guys are great, really,
thank God for good humor.
Pam, I'll bet a galleon to a knut that's tension and everything's so unconsciously tight that the muscle firing timing is off and when a sudden call is made, the sequence is late and/or incorrect = injury or spasm.
The coughing situation is classic in back injury situations.
Add to which you have or are getting a respiratory infection ?
I know that you don’t have time. I know that you are full up.
Please get, read, and consider the Relaxation Response .
Nag, nag, nag, nag,
Hey Jack, you got an extra $129 laying around ? Go to BFS page 36 and look at the original hex bar. Takes the back almost completely out of the exercise.
As for injuries, I just had a little surgery. Nothing serious, just depressing. Floss your teeth !!
sigh,
fish

If I didnt have a sense of humor I'd think God was pi**ed off at me or something. Tell me my subconscious isnt working overtime...yes I'm going to bore you all with a short story. I recently rented and watched the movie Enough...about a woman who is abused by her husband and what she does to get away from him. The scene with the little girl trying to pull her dad off her mom...way to real. I had a pit in my stomach throughout the entire movie. In one scene she is taking a self defense class and they show her breaking out of a choke hold. I will never forget that move...in fact have practiced it several times since. Ok almost done here boys...I woke up in the middle of the night because I was having a hard time breathing, felt like someone had their hands around my throat..I obviously wasnt completely conscious....and without even thinking I believe I attempted that move and ended up right on the floor...not a pleasant way to wake up. At least I know I have good reactions even when asleep. Sure got my heart pumping though. So the point....I am obviously coming down with a respiratory infection. It feels like there is something tight around my throat and chest..its such a claustrophobic feeling. Cardio is going to be steady state today..no intervals for me. I am going to rest today fish...all I have to do is pick up the house, finish up some laundry, get my cardio in and then I am going to take it easy until the kids get home....well thats the plan anyway. And the shoulder....I cant even move my arm without it hurting again.
