5 large birds over the water.

maybe 5 eagles, but more likely 2 eagles and 3 ospreys.

great blue heron day.



sun behind me, heron standing on bank in front of me,

back row to about ten feet.

light breezes.

sparkling ripples running on water surface toward shore, and then ripple reflections continue to run up bank and up the body of the great blue heron.

shimmering, seems iridescent.

then a second great blue circles above, calling.

then my great blue flies up.

the two great birds then circle above the boat twice and then land in the high branches of a tall pine.

the whole event, achingly beautiful

sea smoke makes it interesting.

later on each day nc&i have been going to the beach and taking lots of long walks.

cut it short, breezy and foggy

supposed to get two cords of wood delivered today, and two next week.

i'll get my exercise for sure.

I used to luv to chop wood

stacked about a cord of wood.
which means
loading the wheelbarrow at where the wood was dumped,
wheeling the wheelbarrow from there to where it will be stacked
dump
stack
stack means on to the line of 12 pallets i use to keep the wood off the ground, and then by courses up and up.


it really is a lot of work, but great exercise.

Only three cord to go.
