wood have to move wood from main pile to porch pile. use a snow scoop if there is enough ground cover. this means getting to the yard pile filling the scoop, dragging the scoop to the steps and up onto the porch moving the wood from the scoop onto the porch pile, and again and again... and again.
only slipped on the ice and fell down once, but don't tell NC.
not a lot of time left for this kind of work, although i enjoy it.

Hopefully you still have enough “bounce “ in you not to get hurt. I won’t tell but be careful!

my knees are always sore and sometimes painful. i've seen the docs and done my research.
no answers. it is not a bone on bone situation, and i can do just about everything except run and squat or deadlift heavy weights, so i don't want to risk surgery.
so they get hot, and then they cool down.
when they are hot, and it is bad, they go trick and i fall down which i know has to stop. but i do stuff. last fall was on ice. the one before was when i tripped on a root while bushwacking in deep woods. used to be that i could dance my out of a stumble. now if i trip, i fall. not many people my age do the stuff i do. so i fall down.
ad 30 clubs wood stretching.
if you have not seen "Coco", do. it is a very good movie.
i watch movies using the spanish language track.

wood from yard pile to porch pile. we keep our porch wood in three stacks, each 3' by 8'. The wood is 16". so if my arithmetic is right, we get just over 2/3 of a cord on the porch. i stacked 1/3 of 2/3, or .33 x .66 = .2178 ==.22 about 1/5 of a cord.
with the snow scoop, over the snow and ice.
you know, Smoke, folks just don't get it. crazy to do so much work, they say.
i'll bet Your Dad would give just about anything to be out there with me doing any of this kind of work. and then to sit by the fire.
not many years left. gotta do as i can while i can still do it.

He would give just about anything! He has a home evaluation next Thursday... game plan is to come home but we will see. He’s coming along with therapy but a long way from walking by himself. He has a good attitude yet.
