the hills and the valleys, as my uncle Pat used to say.
and how's by you ? and your Dad ?
thanks to you our Christmas Tree was a little more bright this year.
by the way, I am now just about expert on spinal stuff.
are you taking care of yourself, thinking of you once in a while ?
my back would be far worse if i had not taken the initiative, done the reading, and confronted my "medical advisors" with informed questions.
keep fighting

Dad is ok. I’ve been busy so haven’t gotten to see him much this week. Reliable sources let me know he went and played bingo today.... he has been very reluctant to get involved with anything.... I think he’s afraid he might like it.
Sorry the professionals couldn’t help you out but glad you were able to find the resources to help yourself.
I’m still really busy, meditation started up again so I am trying to go to that. Need to take time to get a message next week, that seems to have helped my carpal tunnel.
Outside of that, not much. Still mostly steps no real workouts.

my meditation these days involves coordinating breathes with heartbeats.
numbers change, depending on heart rate. usually 4 in, 4 out if at 80 bpm sometimes 4 in 6 out sometimes 6 in and out.
focuses the mind wonderfully.

I have a lot of trouble staying focused for more than about 15-20 min

very clever double post to prove the point.
20 minutes 2x daily is pretty good. The Relaxation Response (Benson) is a book on meditation that should be available in your library. I read it decades ago.

steps are good. functional fitness. figure out if there is/are some part(s) that are not getting work to maintain condition and work them out.
i seem to remember that you get almost a full body workout at work. push pull up and down and all around.

if you're moving, that's good. but maybe remember to keep range of motion, especially in the shoulders.
