wood stretching
back stuff knee stuff
it seems that it takes almost a month before i can make any judgment about any injury. my back is much better. i am tempted to say it is fully recovered.
my knee is much better, but still shows symptoms of a meniscus tear.
it just takes so darn long for me to heal up these days.
my schedule does not make surgery a good option until next fall, and meniscus can heal if the tear is in the red zone.
so i am going to wait and see.
God willing, it is only a sprain taking a long time to heal up.

knee was bad last night called md today, but no answer at his office.
took a walk at the beach.
all signs point to torn meniscus.
two zones: red has blood supply and can heal up, white no blood, no heal.
literature says surgery recovery about two months have the trip to europe in may.
try md again tomorrow

ok, mri shows no tears, but arthritis and fluid all over the place. never knew that a bone could be swollen.
knee joint effusion subchondral marrow edema in the weightbearing portion of the medial femoral condyle tricompartmental osteoarthritis
whatever all that means.
it is really cool that if one highlights a word or phrase one can immediately look that word or phrase up in multiple reference sources.
so i do know what that means, at least a little bit.
in the meantime, stretching, walking, doing some resistance training for the legs with bands and weights.
and there is still always the wood pile.

home again spent a week in Ct with the baby as a staging post for possible trip to NYC to nurse a dear friend after major surgery. her surgery postponed twice and then a third time "sine die". so we came home.
knees seem better, but have done nothing for the last week. tomorrow walk and we will see.

i am just plain old.
so have to figure a new resistance/aerobic plan.
heavens knows we have the equipment in both houses.
power blocks
inclined sled
ski machine ? knees
airdyne ? knees
