I should just title this March postings... not exactly working out.
All roads paved with good intentions.
Working the weekend so I am getting steps in if nothing else. Almost 12k yesterday.

what about your active stretching to maintain range of motion ? standing backstrokes, crawl, breast strokes, etc.
and the standing swing motion.
and passive stretching whenever you get the chance. reach back and pull that heel and toe up to your butt.
i like that standing swing motion. learned it in a taichi tape. feet shoulder width. turn the head and shoulders from side to side while letting the arms hang loose and be carried out by the centrifugal force. then just the shoulders, keeping the head fixed.
keep fighting.

here i am nagging you again, and i don't like nags.
you get a good deal of good exercise, no doubt. "steps and moving equipment." yeah, that'll do.
that awareness theme i mentioned is to ask that you think of any area that does not get any work. find it and work it. eg.
you had some stiffness in your shoulders. are you swimming in place ? doing your giant circles ?
i'm telling you, Smoke, that if i fail to move something, i turn into the Tinman.
and it happens suddenly.

Pain went to other knee.... I need to fix this! Trying to clean up my diet... been slacking a bit on that lately.
Kid worked on it last night and iced it when I went to bed.... fingers crossed.
I don’t like this getting old crap Fish!

Best for me is systematic stretching of the legs.
But it is the entire program.
If it is PFPS, the theory is that the kneecap is pulled out of the proper channel by an imbalance of the muscles.
So they want strengthing exercises all around, and stretching to lengthen the muscles that are pulling the kneecap the "wrong" way.
I can give you my routine, but the web is full of them.
These guys are informative.

Went to new chiropractor, I liked him. Young guy... 30 something. Thinks my knee issue are stemming from my neck and lower back. Said to stretch... I know that. Gonna give it a day and try to get back to doing some sort of work out other than working.

did he tell you what to stretch ? did he tell you how to stretch it.
i work certain stretches into my day.
if i find myself standing waiting for anything, a heel is pulled back to the butt. or i'm standing on one foot, which has different, but wonderful benefits.
bend over, hands on table. shorten distance between breastbone (xiphoid process) and pubis, lengthen distance same. it's a standing yoga cat-camel
stand and lengthen distance as far as possible. ie backbend.
and then there are the dynamic stretches.
that swimming in place, the giant arm circles on all planes and directions are dynamic stretches.
the standing, feet shoulder width, knees just broken, arms at side, turn shoulders and face from left to right and back while letting centrifugal force carry arms out is a great dynamic stretch. half of the time keep eyes front while swinging. this is a great neck stretch. keep the movement gentle, although the arm swing naturally becomes wider and farther as the muscles open and the turn extends.
work them into the day, and you won't miss an entire session.
i've got others, be creative.
they feel good, anyway.

This freakin pain just keeps moving, knee isn’t great but much better. Couldn’t get comfortable last night, kept having pain in my arm and wrist... still hurts this morning but other than work I don’t know what I did to it.
I don’t like this getting older crap Fish! Make it stop! Lol
