can you describe the discomfort/pain in your hip ?
what causes it and how does it hurt ?
i do two exercises for the hips, the one more than the other.
figure four stretch (https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=figure+4+stretch)
adduction-abduction leg swing. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTKb4VkZYqI)
take it slow and as easy as you can.

I’m not sure what I actually did to it. I was doing some yard work and tried getting my chainsaw going and thought I just over did it. Usually if I go to chiropractor I’m good in a couple days... this time I can’t seem to shake it.
Hurts on the top part of hip into lower back. Getting a massage tomorrow so hopefully she can get the knot out. Ice seems to help. Paper came in today so I aggravated it. Laying on ice now.

No tingling, just sore at the top of your butt on both sides. Feels better today but still sore. 12k+ steps don’t help. Gonna ice it in a bit.

"shoveled stone onto truck ... "
i have some idea what that means.
i'll bet you are paying close attention to your mechanics, and i'll bet you have learned that "less is more" on the blade of the shovel.
Good for you, Smoke, that's great exercise, and hard work.
Really.
