We had lots of rain!
Brought in some well needed cooler weather though!

a little windy, but here comes the fall.

have to clean up the yellow boat.

it's been cool here all season except for a few days (and nights)

breezy again, but not so much as weather underground said it would be.

got some bike lights to put on the boat for the first stages of the row.

lucky to spot a guy in a kayak out there in the dark.

usually don't row on Sunday, but the days dwindle down ...

the loons are pretty used to me now. they stay just outside the length of the oars,, and i have almost run them over more than once.

i have bike lights that attach to the boat for the mornings.

it was quite dark this am - showers, but calm

beach days are really winding down.

it's nice, but the wind off the water, and if the clouds cover the sun, it gets chilly.

Heard the geese heading south…. High flyers I call them.
Getting chilly at night.

two herons on dock and boat where i launch.

fall has its attractions.

the color, the apple picking,

chilly is not so bad.

9/16 row red - out late after rain.

there re many more hybrids these days.

My apple tree at work has seen better days.

Green apples on it, used to have really good years.

I should cut it down and plant new ones.

many geese on the water who challenged me to row into their midst.

i did

they all took off in a cloud of noise and feathers.

wicked cool.

dense fog early

waited a while before going to the lake.

dense fog late

but got it in

the loons are letting the boat get very close before they dive.

i don't see them until they pop up just astern.
