almost finished

some years ago NC had an anaphylactic shock reaction after eating french fries fried in oil that had been used to fry shellfish.

after a lifetime of eating shellfish, suddenly almost deadly.

since then i stopped eating lobsters, clams, oysters, mussels, etc.

anything that would trigger her allergies.

she has always wanted me to eat the stuff regardless, while i have always said it was no big deal, and if she couldn't eat it, why would i, and so on and so forth.

anyway she finally said that it was doing more harm than good, since she felt that she was depriving me of an enjoyment.

so today raw oysters, steamer clams, and lobsters.

she made an artificial lobster recipe for herself.

she was happy.

if the truth be told, her stuff was awful and i can live without the other stuff.

although it's nice to know that i can still shuck an oyster.

Aww that’s sweet.
Crummy living on the ocean and being allergic to seafood.
I used to like the fake stuff but there is nothing but chemicals in it so I’ll pass. Real stuff is much better.

4 geese and lots of goslings walked me to the water.

geese hissing and neck bobbing.

tried not to stress them.

if i'm doing the math correctly ...

truck gets 20 mpg

$1 gallon @ 20 mpg = 5 cents per mile

$4.50 gallon @ 20 mpg = 23 cents per mile

12.5 miles to lake - 25 miles round trip

$5.75 / day to row.
