So met up with Pam & Kara. Had an awesome weekend… didn’t really do a lot but really enjoyed meeting them and just hanging out. Felt like we’ve known each other for years.. guess that’s because we really have.was really sad to see her go today.

Back to walking. Rained last week then busy. Hour Got in almost 18 k steps in.

Walked, thought I picked up the pace but Fitbit says otherwise. Little over 16k in steps.
Losing really slowly though… I’m way too impatient!

i am glad to hear that you all got together.
it would have been very nice if we all had the chance to meet. maybe next time.
also glad to hear that you held the fort while i was away.
i started on the AD to get some upper body work pending possible rowing
you get yours at your work, i think.
truck sounds like transmission bearing is bad. not good news at all.

Walked after work. Watched a couple eagles… stoped and smelled the roses.
Think I might be starting to get my head together… lol if that means anything. lol
Pam doesn’t know it but she really helped me out…. Now to stick to it.

Up and out early 7:30…. That’s early for me to work out! Just did my walk but it was quiet and peaceful…. Workout for the mind as well.

Work, walked, mowed 14 k I have 2 different walks I take, they both are about an hour but the one I burn about 100 more calories on. Guess I need to go that way more often.
I need new hiking boots, wanna start doing some trails again.

pardon my french, but screw the calorie thing. in my experience it doesn't work, and only creates expectations that result in disappointment.
you've got it right: cardio-pulmonary and spiritual exercise.
get out there, walk at a good pace, have new eyes and ears, and let the calories fall where they may !

I do like seeing the results on my Fitbit though. My resting heart rate has gone from in the 60’s down to low 50’s

Rained but did clear up some, did 13 hrs at work. 15 k steps so I’m taking the day off from walking.

yeah, it's nice to have a metric for comparison. targets to meet or exceed.
i used to measure my times on the bike. so i was racing against my prior times.
i just feel bad when folks are disappointed when the cal count does not have relative quick measurable weight loss results
