August Workouts ~ Smoke

Walked an hour… actually 54 min, cardio was up a bit.
Beat the rain again!

Little over an hour, went the other direction around the lake, more hills little better workout.

The harder one has a couple small inclines and on fairly long hill at the halfway point.

The easier route has one small incline at the beginning and at halfway point….relatively flat.

Short walk today but got almost 14 k steps in.
Went out to watch meteor showers early this morning, saw a few. Might go out later if it clears up.

Decided to mow at work. Got the important parts done up by the road.
About an hour.

i got some mowing done, but i'm afraid i need to do some work on the engine.

and sharpen all the cutting chains and blades on all the equipment.

we have not seen the sky enough to view the stars, much less meteors.

lots of rain showers, though.

i have figured out how to re-prime the hose siphon to empty the water barrels during rain to help keep the basement dry.

simple technique. surprised i didn't think of it before now.

Pickle ball 1.5 hrs
Ready for the tourists to go home.

Finally mowed at home… it needed it but I intentionally didn’t mow, trying to get it to grow in better… weeds and all.

our stuff thickens if i keep everything short, and weasel up the soil so it can spread.

our low bush blueberries are running wild, so to speak.

and "they" tell me to mow 1/2 of it a year to encourage growth.

As for tourists,

The fire smoke from Canada did not get here.
But the Canadians did.
We were at the beach today.
The Canadian ladies' bathing costume is un-sightly, so to speak.
I should say women's bathing costume.

A lady would never wear so little in public.

But I am old, and don't understand any more ...

i know that you get a lot of arm work at work, but that DBBL exercise is pretty cool.

when my knees were better i would include a squat with the DBBLs at my sides to begin each rep.

down, up, curl, etc.

how's the pickle ball doing ?

Gal I’ve been playing with was on vaca and now she is at her sons house dog sitting.

I’ll get back to it when she comes home.
