Y'all,
some months ago having done my e work, i bought a hex bar, aka trap bar, from
www.biggerfasterstronger.com
the bar is obviously well made, clean welds, etc. only "problem" is that the hatching is sharp enough to cause some reddening of my admittedly sissy palms.
as part of the deal BFS said that they would send their mag.
got it today. i am impressed.
very informative article on chains. Arthur Jones, Max Herz, Jim Schmitz, Louie Simmons, Doug Briggs and others. variable resistance. ascending, decending, and ascending/decending strength curves. explosive strength. progressive fatigue. chain design including link weight, placement on the bar. lifting technique. propiosensory benefits.
very informative article on how BFS redesigned the weight room for the Oakland Raider strength and conditioning program.
very informative article on how the BFS program was credited by the New Jersy High School State champions for playing a significant part in their success as individuals and as a team.
even more interesting article on inspiring youths to "be an eleven."
Pam, if you don't already know about these folks, maybe you might give this a look.
The "Be An Eleven Guidebook for Success" is eight bucks and sounds very good to me. Directed to young people, it includes "distinguish yourself. create your own value system. make goal oriented choices. set goals. be a leader. inspire others. excel socially. be an eleven athlete. be an eleven student. be an eleven communicator. dream the biggest dream.
this in the context of remarkable successes by young individual athletes and teams of athletes of both sexes.
i have no reason to shill for these folks, but this seems different.
peace
