One more thing... where can I find out the band tension in the each of the different bands? I know I could figure itout but I was just wondering if someone knew.

If you go here: jumpstretch.com/ you should be able to find the information youre looking for. For the band leg curls I wrap the band around one of the posts of my rack then put my legs or leg through the loop so it rests on my ankle(s), sit on a bench far enough away from the rack so there is tension in the band, lift my legs a bit and then just bend them back. You'll really fell these. Hope that helps. Pam

So I am somewhere discouraged because of reading that the guys at elitefts replace their bands every 6 months? I was hoping to get a couple years out of a such a pricey purchase.
Any ideas? Do you think chains will do the same thing? They last forever! ~Ryan

Ryan I dont think you have to worry about replacing your bands that often. I've had mine for I believe 1-2 years and they are still working just fine. I do check them before I use them just to make sure there arent any rips or tears or "thinning" areas on them. I know Jack has had his longer and uses his a lot more than I do and he is still on his first pair. If you wear out your chains you're working way too much . I dont think you have to worrry about the chains wearing out. Do you have the bands now? One exercise I love to do with them is reverse band presses....not sure thats the proper name of the exercise...basically you hook the bands over the top of the rack, then the bar and bench press. Its a fun exercise because you can pile on the plates. Pam

Well that is a little more encouraging. I dont have bands yet but am probably going to order some in the next week because I am going to switch all my exercises in two weeks and wanted to add the bands.
So now, I am just wondering, how to do the setup on DE bench and DE squat. I assume I lift enough weight to use them. I am just not sure where to position and how much weight I should use with them. I mean, so DE Squat is supposed to be 50-60% of max; is this of max box squat or max squat? It really doesnt matter because as far as I know mine are the same. In any case. Is this straight weight? Or band tension included? If the band tension is included, should it be 50% at the bottom or the top? For example the lite bands says 30-50 lbs. So with 95 on the bar, that is 165-195. I have been doing 155 on speed day with no bands. What do you think a good weight would be?
Also, on DE bench, it says the bands are 41inches, (i wish they could just be 1 meter lol) so I think the minis are going to be too long to bench with if I keep tension in them at the bottom. Do i have to double them? In that case, Do I also use 95 lbs for bench? I just got 315 on a parallel box squat and 245 on a CG bench press.
Thanks for all the help. I do feel like my training is really coming along and I would like to thank you guys for all the helpful tips.

Ryan,I'm a little pressed for time tonight and I'll be out of town for a couple of days but I'll get back to you on this one. Don't worry so much about the weight at the top but try a % of your 1RM,something like this.....45% first week,50% second week and 55% 3rd week....if the weight is to heavy and you don't have any speed reduce the amount or vice versa. Good luck.
