I have heard a lot of things about Westside barbell using drugs. I would be inclined to believe this because in Louie's writings he talks about his results as being good regardless of gear and drugs.
Now, gear is one thing but drugs is another.
I mean, if you are going to go that far, then why not just start genetically modifying people to lift more weight; then nobody could compete if they werent designed too.
I am not questioning the system although, the heavy use of drugs in the alleged eastern bloc countries would taint the data that Louie bases his westside training off of.
Just somethign to talk about.

God topic, Ryan.
Well, I'm on neither side here.
In competition I think the rules should be the same for everyone and unless drugs are out, the incentive to use to the point of self destruction is too great.
Look at the statistics on the bike riders. From January 11, 2003, to June 30, 2004, nine top cyclists died of heart failure. Eight of the deaths occurred at rest, one in a dentist's office.
Obscene.
The doping made their blood like syrup and their heart rates were so low that the stuff simply clogged up their circulatory system and they died. R.I.P.
But pros have to do it to be competitive, or they're out of the game and out of the money. And it is big money.
And this crosses all pro sport lines, extending by necessity into the amateur wannabepro ranks.
So I'm against it in competition.
But if you want to eat shit in the privacy of your own home an then look in the mirror and admire your tan, why should I say you can't even if you do poison yourself.
Just don't ask for public health care benefits when you get sick. Die on your own dime.
So I don't care much about it at the chrome and fern gym.
As for the concept of integrity, I've got enough trouble keeping myself in line.
"This above all, to thine own self be true ..."
Keep the faith,
