a mile comes from Latin for 1 thousand. 1 thousand full paces, a pace being every time the same foot hits the ground, or two steps. you probably have about ten miles in those 15 16K numbers if average paces.

Steps or Fitbits equivalent. Did 17,414 steps and had 7.27 miles.
Leaves are turning here too. Not as pretty as some years.

i may have mentioned that after not exer-walking for a relatively short period, I felt what felt like DOMS.
look at the muscle groups involved in walking. all the big ones from navel to knees, and with the incidental motion of the arms and torso, it is just about a complete involvement of musculature.
keep walking, Smoke, just throw in a few giant circles w the arms, and ...
foliage was good, but it has been so dry all summer, that the foliage was unique in our experience.
some still green, some leafless.
but certainly worth our annual 7 hour drive.

what does she think about Self Myofascial Release ?
i use a 6 inch diameter piece of plastic pipe wrapped in a yoga mat. hot spot stuff is with a lacrosse ball.
how are your shoulders ?

She is a big fan of myafacial. If I’m not mistaken she studied it up by you. It’s pretty cool, she’s done a little bit on me.
Shoulder would be better if I worked it out more.

SMR is pretty nifty. those hot spots are like knots in the muscle fibers MR can be pretty painful, so tell her to take her time when she finds one.
keep doing those giant circles and your shoulders will be ok. all directions, all planes.

Did about a 2 day fast... lost about 6 lbs.... ate... gained 3 back....ugh🙁

how much hydration during the fast ?
fasting is nasty for me.
when the fat cells dump their stored toxins, i do not feel well.
done on a regular basis, i think it's good.
they don't feed the big cats one day a week at the bronx zoo. i used to go the following day to hear them roar as the meat cart made its way through the cat house.
that sounds funny.
