from the report ... CONCLUSIONS: ... Average heart rate 79, minimum 52 maximum 124. Frequent ventricular premature beats, mostly in bigeminal cycles. These represented 5.8% of all beats. Single 6 beat run of ventricular tachycardia to run rate of 171 noted at 2:00 PM. ... Some periods of ventricular bigeminy were associated with symptoms. ...
they say it is premature ventricular contractions or pvc and that it is generally benign if the heart is otherwise healthy. they want the echocardiagram to check on that. scheduled for 6 weeks from now.
my reading about pvc confirms generally benign, but lots of variables - especially frequency - the effects of which i would like to know lots more about before i am convinced.
in the meantime, while it can occur with no symptoms, i've got a bunch, none very pleasant.
it's like a bad buzz with shortness of breath.
and it is frequent. average 5.8 percent of 80 per minute.
thanks for checking

you'll love this, Smoke.
when they scheduled the echo-cardiogram for mid march i asked to be put on the cancellation list.
whoever it was said they did not have a cancellation list. so i called the next day to ask what the best time it would be for our daily call to check if there were any cancellations. this different whoever it was said indeed there was a cancellation list and i would be put on it.
next day: come on in. now, my dark side wonders if they called me in to avoid getting that daily call.
anyway, had an echo-cardiogram today.
will report when results received.

my reading of the web definitions of the echo terminology is "not good".
let's see what the docs say.
in the meantime, i'm not dead yet !
although the horizon may be closer than i would like.
but then, when was it not ?
keep fighting !

Have they said anything about a pacemaker or defibrillator?
My neighbor actually ended up with both and is doing really well.
