wood stretching clubs PT has been not so good.
nice enough guy, with a doctorate, for what that is worth (i've got one too), but ... it ain't working. credit him. he admits 1/3 i can help to get better
1/3 get better regardless 1/3 don't get better.
lucky me.
i've been keeping a diary, "Journeys on Gurneys" for some years now. Each chapter has a subtitle. eg. "Journeys on Gurneys: or, Who are your next of kin ?".
that one is the story of the time in the hospital, on a gurney, they were cutting off my clothes and a guy with a clipboard came alongside me and asked: "Who are your next of kin?"
then there is the female surgeon who said smilingly: "You've still got stuff i can cut off ..."
or the Doc who read my broken clavicle & dislocated sternoclaivicular and smilingly informed "oh, you can still row, but only in a circle."
apt dr's apt next week to add another chapter.
Happy New Year !

yesterday, wood
i have to put down ramps to get the wagon up onto the porch. used to be a single ramp with the wheelbarrow.
anyroad, before now i have been doing a load a day or two with the wagon, but that means putting the ramps up and down each time. the ramps require two boards on each side because of a middle step that acts as a fulcrum unless the far side of the ramp board is raised. the ramps themselves are a project. so
now using more wood before replenishing the porch pile.
5 or 6 loads.
put up the ramps, pull the empty cart down and over to the woodpile. fill the cart from the woodpile
pull the full cart from the woodpile, to the ramps, up onto the porch. pile the wood from the cart to the porchpile. repeat until porchpile is full plus one full cart.
and it began to snow early in the work, and the snow covered the ground and stuck to the trees
and it was so very beautiful.
working the woodpile in the snow to keep us warm in the house.
thank you, God.
do what you can do while you can still do it.

wood - 3 loads
if it is going to snow i like to have the porch pile full w a wagon alongside.
Jan and Feb are the snow months in Maine. So far this year, not much. a couple of inches over last night.
as a concession to my other complaints, i don't do other exercise on days when i re-stock the porch
good news from the RO i'll send e-mail.
