Hour walk, 90+ degrees but beat the rain.

i do think walking is one of the absolute best exercises.

warm here too, but not very humid.

nights cool down

we do not own an air conditioner.

maybe 5 - 10 nights a year we could use one.

I don’t have ac either. Have it in 2 rooms at work.

Long ass day at work yesterday, no walk but 15k steps,
Cooler out today and got walk in.
Plus 100 squats each day.

have you incorporated any stretching ?

i liked squats when my knees let me do them.

but they seemed to shorten the muscles.

i had to stretch 'em out.

pretty easy routine, i still use it in the morning when i am brewing the coffee.

inner thigh i do in bed.

soles of the feet together, drop the knees.

all the rest i get done in the am.

lower back too.

you have always worked hard, even "normal" hours.

and then your hours get funny.

and it seems to vary from year to year and across the year.

Last minute managed to get a walk in.

i must resume my exercise other than wood.

walking is almost perfect.

if i had good knees.

No walks but helped a friend unassemble and reassemble 2 bunk beds… lots of bending and lifting.
Also still taking care of neighbors garden and chickens… had fresh green beans for dinner…. His grew, mine didn’t.😥

NC says she would like chickens.

but she would give them names and let them into the house.

i'd like it too, but our friends with chickens are at constant war with the predators: foxes, weasels, hawks, rats, etc.

my niece has an old barn. they raise a few pigs and they usually keep a few chickens.

but they also have feral barn cats and a couple of outside dogs.

she has warriors against the predators.

i'd have to do it myself.

i'm jealous !

my knees don't let me do much real walking.

what an enjoyable and profitable way to spend time.

NC wants to get back into it.

the winter really did serious damage to the oceanfront where she usually walks.

repairs look good.

but she's out of the habit.

need to work on that.

i can sit and read while she's walking.
